If you are a customer outside of the UK we apologise that we are not permitted to offer sales to these areas for insurance reasons.

Parcels are usually posted via Royal Mail however for heavier orders a courier may be used.

Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery. We will endeavour to process and post orders within 48 hours (not including weekends or bank holidays).



All prices shown are in pounds sterling and include all costs with the exception of postage and packaging charges (see above).

You can pay for goods by using Paypal.  You do not need an account with Paypal to use this payment method.  Beginnings do not have access to payment details, they are handled by Paypal and are not known or stored by us.

Beginnings is the trading name of Karen Eakin, sole trader.  

Most products on sale are handmade and therefore may vary slightly in apperance, eg. colour, shape, packaging etc.

Faulty and/or damaged goods should be reported within 5 days of receiving them.  Items will be replaced, if in stock, free of charge, or refunded if necessary.  Photographic proof may be required.  Please e-mail us of any such matters to provide a written record for both parties, as opposed to contact by telephone.

Under distance selling regulations you have the right to a full refund for up to 14 days.  This period begins when you receive the goods. In the unlikely event that you receive the goods before written confirmation of the order, the 7 day period begins after receipt of the written confirmation. Postage charges that were paid by the customer will also be refunded but it is the responsibility of the customer to pay the return postage costs. For obvious hygiene and safety reasons we cannot accept the return of soaps, balms, butters or bath products unless they are faulty or not fit for purpose.

Soaps are made by the cold process method taking three weeks minimum time to produce.  In the unlikely event of a product being out of stock after you have placed your order, you may choose to wait or accept a refund. Postage and packaging charges will also be refunded for this type of problem.

All handmade products are covered with a full safety assessment issued from a qualified assessor.  These assessments are in line with the new EU legislation that will come into place in June 2013.  With the exception of "The Bubbly Baby Bar", products have not been assessed for children under three years of age.  Products are for external use only, none of our products are suitable for human consumption.  

It is the responsibility of the customer to read the ingredients label and allergen declarations and decide if a product is suitable and safe for their own individual use.  Ingredients shown online are intended as a rough guide for your interest.  Full INCI names of ingredients are shown on the product label as are any allergens that are likely to be present.  Please note some products for sale contain sweet almond oil, all of our products are produced in an environment where almond oil is used and may contain trace amounts of this ingredient.

If a customer selects the option to pay by post, the order will not be posted out until full payment has been received and the cheque has been cleared.

As stated on the Home page, we trade from Monday to Saturday.  We do not trade on Sundays, but welcome your custom throughout the remainder of the week.
